  • Device testing and characterization at terahertz frequencies

Curriculum Vitae

2009 - today

Dr. Krozer has been appointed Oerlikon-Leibniz-Goethe professor for Terahertz Photonics at the Goethe university Frankfurt. He is focusing his activities on integrated active and passive circuits (MMIC), antennas and imaging and radar systems operating at microwave up to THz frequencies.
2004 - 2009 Full professor at the DTU Elektro department, Electromagnetic Systems and was responsible for microwave and terahertz electronics activities. He has been principle hardware responsible for several instruments including an altimeter for airborne ice sounding and for a THz imaging system. He has been involved in numerous national, EU, and international research projects related to THz technologies and to microwave and millimeter-wave electronics based on SiGe, GaAs, InP, and GaN.
2002 - 2004 Research guest professor position at the Danish Center for Remote Sensing, Denmark Technical University. His research areas include physical modelling of semiconductor devices for THz operation, MMIC design for ultra-wideband operation, MMIC design for synthetic-aperture radars and radiometers, and nonlinear microwave circuits. More recently Dr. Krozer concentrated on the physical modelling of performance and reliability of Schottky diodes for THz applications and on ultra-broadband analog MMICs in SiGe and GaAs technology.
1996 - 2002 Dr. Krozer had been appointed professor in microwave techniques at the department of electrical engineering at the Technical University of Chemnitz (TU Chemnitz), Germany. During that time he was the head of the Microwave Electronics Laboratory.
1998 - 1999 Habilitation in in the area of microwave electronics for his contribution to submm-wave devices and systems
1998                Visiting research professor position at the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.
1996 Visiting researcher at the University of Roma "Tor Vergatta"
1991 - 1996 Senior research scientist at the Microwave Electronics Laboratory at the TH Darmstadt in the areas of microwave integrated circuits, FMCW radars, high temperature semiconductor device operation and submillimeter-wave device development. Dr. Krozer investigated the high temperature and submm-wave operation of Schottky-diodes, MESFETs, and HBTs. He also developed physical device models for Schottky diodes and HBT devices, MMICs based on GaAs technology. At that time Dr. Krozer pursued research in the area of physical numerical modelling of semiconductor devices and circuits.
1991 PhD thesis focusing on the development of analysis methods for large-signal non-linear microwave circuits and semiconductor device simulation.
